Colin Clark has a diverse work experience in journalism, with a focus on defense and aerospace reporting. Colin served as the Indo-Pacific Bureau Chief and Founding Editor at Breaking Media since 2021. From 2011 to 2022, they worked as the Editor for Breaking Defense, where they supervised a team of reporters and freelancers, wrote and edited stories on defense strategy and policy, and developed the site's editorial voice and content. Prior to that, Colin was the editor of DoDBuzz and Pentagon correspondent for Military.com at Military Advantage from 2008 to 2011. Colin also worked as a reporter at SpaceNews, an Imaginova company, in 2008. Colin was the editor of Washington Aerospace Briefing at Imaginova from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, they gained experience as an Editor at Defense News from 1998 to 2002, where they covered acquisition policy, arms trade, and South Africa, and later took on senior DoD leadership reporting. Colin started their career as a reporter at Defense Week from 1996 to 1998. Colin has also contributed as an accredited stringer for Voice of America, Australian Broadcasting Corp., the Christian Science Monitor, and South Africa's Argus papers, covering various conflicts and political situations in Africa. Before that, they were a stringer for Time magazine, New York Times, BBC, and Voice of America. Colin began their career as an intern at The Washington Monthly in 1978.
Colin Clark pursued their education at Drew University from 1975 to 1979, earning a Bachelor's degree in history and political science. Prior to that, from 1971 to 1974, they completed their high school education at Kent School, obtaining a High School Diploma.
