Gouri Kannav

Gouri Kannav (Bhardwaj) has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Gouri began their career as a Legal Intern in corporate law at J. Sagar Associates and later joined Fox Mandal Little in a similar role. Gouri then worked as a Legal Counsel at GHCL Limited, where they drafted legal documents and represented the company in civil matters. Gouri also served as a Senior Associate at Jurisperitus Law Offices, managing a team and handling infrastructure and project financing deals. Gouri later joined GMR Group as a Legal Counsel, gaining experience in compliance and contract management for large project finance transactions. Gouri then worked as a Document Review Consultant at Allens before joining Bird & Bird as an Associate. In this role, they drafted and negotiated various agreements, conducted due diligence, and worked on corporate secretarial issues. Their most recent position was at Optus, where they served as a Legal Contracts Manager, overseeing negotiations, reviewing contracts, and providing guidance on contractual constructs. Currently, Gouri is employed as the Legal Counsel and Contracts Lead at Brennan.

Gouri Kannav (Bhardwaj) began their education at Apeejay School from 1989 to 2001. Gouri then attended Symbiosis International University where they earned their LL.B. degree in Law from 2001 to 2006. In 2003, they obtained a Diploma in Comparative Cyber Laws from the Asian School of Cyber Laws and a Diploma in Consumer Protection Laws from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Pune. Gouri further pursued their education at King's College London, completing their LL.M. degree in Law from 2006 to 2007. Gouri continued their legal studies by obtaining a Diploma in Law from LPAB/LEC from 2017 to 2020. Lastly, they completed their Practical Legal Training at The College of Law Australia in 2020-2021.
