Ruben Decuypere is a seasoned professional in the fields of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and intellectual property, currently serving as the BIM Product Owner at Bricsys® since March 2020. Prior to this role, Ruben held positions as an Intellectual Property Advisor at Octrooicel WTCB from October 2012 to February 2020, and as Project Leader Research at WTCB-CSTC-BBRI, where research focused on smart buildings, BIM, energetic optimization of renovations, life cycle cost analysis, and intellectual property in the construction sector. Additional experience includes consultancy roles at Infrabel and Deloitte Consulting, along with founding the student organization Poutrix during civil engineering studies, aimed at enriching the educational experience of construction engineering students. Ruben's academic background encompasses degrees in civil engineering, general management, and a specialized program in BIM from respected institutions, including Ghent University and Vlerick Business School.
