Bridge Energy is a California based Energy Company that was formed to develop and produce energy necessary to fuel the California economy safely, cost effectively and with minimal environmental impacts. California is in an energy renaissance as it transitions from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Currently, California relies on all major sources of energy. That mix includes fossil fuels, nuclear and all forms of renewable energy; including geothermal, wind and solar. In the near term, all of California's energy sources will need to be supplied to fulfill current demand or California's economy will suffer. Complicating California's energy supply is the fact that California is an "Energy Island", isolated from the continental U.S. This is because there are no inter state pipelines carrying oil and gas into California. As a result, all of California's energy demand must be met by local sources or be shipped in by tanker, train or truck. It is important for California's long-term energy security that it meet its energy appetite locally. It should be a goal for California to provide as much energy locally to meet the needs of a growing California economy. Buying and transporting energy sources from abroad increase the overall environmental impact given a lack of regulatory oversight. Buying fossil fuels from abroad takes away much needed domestic revenues and jobs and shifts them overseas to politically unpalatable governments. Furthermore, transporting fossil fuels by tanker, train or truck dramatically increase the environmental impact footprint and chances of a catastrophic accident. Bridge Energy was formed to meet the needs of a growing California economy. Our goal is to produce the energy locally with the smallest environmental impact possible and help provide a smooth transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy over time. Our engineers have designed unique operating methods for production or extraction of fossil fuels that help eliminate impacts.
