Bridge the Gap
Ned Purdom currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at the Marin Art and Garden Center and as an English tutor at Bridge the Gap College Prep since September 2018. With extensive experience in education, Ned was a teacher in the Albany Unified School District for 15 years until June 2017. In addition, Ned has been an author for Virga - Chapman Saddle Publishing since June 2014. Educational achievements include earning a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Secondary Education from Dominican University of California.

The mission of Bridge the Gap is to provide comprehensive educational, social and emotional resources to underserved students in Marin City and Southern Marin. Our goal is to ensure that all students graduate high school, and achieve their greatest potential through college completion or other pathways to economic sustainability and independence.
