Matt Plooster has primarily worked in the investment banking industry. Matt co-founded Bridgepoint Investment Banking in 2010 and served as its President, CEO, and Co-Founder. At Bridgepoint, they focused on providing capital raising and M&A advisory solutions to clients. Matt also held roles at Morgan Stanley as an Investment Banker in the Investment Banking Division from 2009 to 2010, and at Deutsche Bank as an Investment Banker in the Global Investment Banking division from 2004 to 2009. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member at Zevra Therapeutics starting in 2011 and as the Chairman of the Board of Directors from January 2023 to May 2023.
Matt Plooster attended Elkhorn Mt. Michael in 1994. Matt then went on to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1999 to study Finance. In 2001, they enrolled at the University of Chicago and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics with Honors. Matt later attended the Columbia Business School and became an alumni, specializing in Business School.
