George Richardson

George Richardson, PE, has over a decade of experience in electrical engineering, currently serving as the Manager of Electrical Engineering at Bridgestone Americas since July 2012. In this role, George directs a team of engineers supporting manufacturing operations in the Extrusion and Calendering processes across 14 tire facilities. Responsibilities include project management and technical oversight for projects with annual capital spending between US$25M and US$50M, as well as serving as the primary Quality Management System representative for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance. George's previous roles at Bridgestone include Lead Electrical Engineer and Lead Controls Kaizen Team Engineer, among others, with responsibilities spanning equipment design, project management, and process improvement initiatives. George holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Early experience includes internships at SunCoke Energy and American Cast Iron Pipe Company.
