Gregory Demelo

Gregory DeMelo, Ph.D., currently serves as a Commissioner at Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant TMLP since January 2024 and has been the Director of Travel & Special Projects at Bridgewater State University since October 2008. In addition, Gregory has been a School Committee Member for Taunton Public Schools since January 2018. Prior experience includes working as a Charter Broker at Sentient Jet from January 2006 to October 2008. Gregory holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, achieved between June 2016 and May 2022, as well as a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies from the same institution from 2013 to 2016, and a Master’s Degree in Management from Bridgewater State University from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Gregory earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Early education was completed at Bishop Stang High School.
