Karen Loor has a diverse work experience in various industries. Karen started their career in 2014 as a Student Facilitator at the Healthy Living Learning Community, where they facilitated weekly meetings and provided support to first-year students. In 2015, they worked as a Corporate Relations Intern at Allstate. Karen then served as a Corps Member at City Year Chicago from 2016 to 2017, where they tutored, mentored, and led after-school programs for middle school students. From 2017 to 2018, Karen worked at the Union City Day Care Program as a Teaching Assistant and later became the Summer Program Coordinator. In 2018, they joined the Union City Board of Education as a Home Instruction Teacher and Lead Teacher in Science, Chemistry. Karen also served as the Science Club Supervisor. Currently, Karen works at Bridgeway Benefit Technologies as a Client Service Representative since 2022.
