Brigade
Matt Mahan currently serves as the Mayor of San José and has held various roles, including Councilmember and Commissioner on the Clean Energy Citizen Advisory Commission. Mahan is also the CEO and Cofounder of Brigade, a voter network aimed at empowering citizen engagement. Additional experience includes serving as an Advisor at the Center for Inclusive Democracy at the University of Southern California, a Research Fellow at SPUR focusing on downtown revitalization, and board member positions at both the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and Joint Venture Silicon Valley. Mahan's earlier career included leadership roles at Causes, as well as teaching experience with Teach for America. Mahan earned a BA in Social Studies from Harvard University.
