Lisa Sturtevant is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in housing market analysis and strategic planning. Currently serving as Chief Economist at Bright MLS since August 2021 and as a Board Member at Housing Forward Virginia, Lisa previously held the role of Chief Economist for Virginia REALTORS® from January 2020 to May 2022, where responsibilities included leading research activities and forecasting market conditions. As the Founder and President of LSA, Lisa focused on community partnerships for comprehensive housing and economic analyses. Additional roles have included Senior Research Scientist at Virginia Tech, Senior Visiting Fellow at the Urban Land Institute, and Vice President for Research at the National Housing Conference. Lisa holds a PhD in Public Policy/Regional Economic Development from George Mason University, a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, and a BS in Mathematical Economics from Wake Forest University.
