Adam Mefrakis is a seasoned professional in food safety management, currently serving as the Senior Regional Food Safety Manager at BrightFarms since August 2021. In this role, Adam leads a food safety and quality team across six hydroponic greenhouses in the USA, having developed and implemented a company-wide Food Safety Management System to ensure compliance with regulatory and third-party standards. Prior experience includes roles at the State of Missouri’s Department of Agriculture as a Produce Safety Inspector and Operations Coordinator, where outreach was provided to producers regarding the FSMA Produce Safety Rule. Adam's background also encompasses managing production lines at NatureFresh™ Farms and serving on the Greenhouse Education Center team. Adam holds a Bachelor's Degree in Plant Sciences and a minor in Business from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
