Brightpath Capital Corporation is a private alternative income investment fund focused on placing capital throughout Ontario.

Brightpath is focused on the private mortgage market for this investment round, however Brightpath will also target several other alternative investment spaces over the next 12 months. 

Brightpath simpliﬁes mortgage investing by allowing individuals to pool their money to invest in a diversiﬁed portfolio of Canadian residential and commercial mortgages. Brightpath manages these funds day-to-day, paying investors cash distributions based on portfolio results.

The private mortgage market can offer a steady source of income with higher yields and lower risk than traditional investments. However, since most mortgage applications are for a sizeable principal amount, many investors do not have access to the required capital to enter this market on a diversiﬁed basis without participating in a private fund.

Investing in private mortgages as a stand-alone investor can be demanding. Without strong 
underwriting, accounting, legal and ﬁnancial skills, it’s difﬁcult to achieve the same risk-adjusted return as a mortgage investment fund. Unlike an individual investor, our fund has the underwriting processes and large volume of deal ﬂow necessary to build a diversiﬁed portfolio.
