Dr. William Abrokwa

Dr. William Abrokwa, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, currently serves as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Brightside Health and the Center for Behavioral Wellness, with additional experience as Head Nurse for the State of Connecticut Department of Corrections. With a career that began in teaching at Achimota School, Dr. Abrokwa transitioned into nursing, holding various roles from Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse before advancing to psychiatric nursing. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Nursing Practice and multiple postgraduate certificates in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from Frontier Nursing University, as well as Master's degrees in Family Practice Nursing and Nursing Education. Dr. Abrokwa's educational background is complemented by a Master of Philosophy in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education in Educational Psychology from Ghanaian universities.
