Chris Heske has a long and varied work experience in software development and engineering. Chris began their career in 1992 at Ferrell Capital Management LLC as a Software Developer/Architect. In 1993, they moved to TMG Financial Products as a Software Developer in Risk Management. In 1998, they joined Long Term Capital Management L.P. as a Senior Software Developer/Architect in Front-office trading technology. From 1992 to 1999, they worked at UBS Investment Bank in various Senior Technical Architect/Executive Director roles, including Quantitative Analytics Technology, Emerging Markets IT, Enterprise Shared Services, and Financial Control Systems. In 2015, they joined Nephila Advisors LLC as a Senior Engineering Manager/Technical Architect, where they held roles in Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, Catastrophe Modeling, ETL, Organizational Efficiency and Effectiveness, Insurance Underwriting and Portfolio Analytics. In 2017, they moved to Workday as a Senior Manager in Software Development Engineering, and in 2020 they took a Sabbatical. Chris currently works at Brightwheel as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they are responsible for providing high quality early education for every child.
Chris Heske obtained a BS in Computer Information Systems/Computer Science from Marist College in 1992. In 2015, they obtained a Certified Developer on Apache Cassandra certification from O'Reilly Media.
