1 in 12 households experience food insecurity, struggling to access enough food to eat. BLFF fundraises from people and businesses across Bristol, and awards much-needed accessible funding to community food projects that are fighting food insecurity across our city. Together we can build a city of food justice, where everyone can access good, nutritious, affordable and culturally appropriate food.

We use participatory grantmaking, which gives decision-making power of the grants to people with lived experience of food insecurity. 

In our first funding round, we raised and award £60,000 to 18 projects. 

With food insecurity rising rapidly we're aiming to raise and distribute £150,000 every year. We won't stop until Bristol is a city of food justice, where everyone can access good, affordable, culturally appropriate food. Join us!
