Bill Snell

William (Bill) Snell CPA, CA, ICD.D is an experienced board member and financial executive with a diverse background in governance and risk management. Currently serving as Chair of the Board for Consumer Protection BC since June 2019, Snell has also held significant roles at BCAA, the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island, and the Shaw Family Foundation, among others. Previously, Snell was Chief Risk Officer at First West Credit Union and Chief Financial Officer at Island Savings Credit Union, leveraging a strong foundation in commercial banking from roles at the Bank of Montreal and expertise in auditing from Thorne Ernst and Whinney. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and qualifications as a Chartered Accountant and ICD.D.
