Tammy Matheson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations management and program development. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Operations for the NCAS at the BC College of Nurses and Midwives since June 2022, Tammy has also held the position of Manager of Operations within the same organization. Prior to this, a significant tenure at Science World British Columbia from September 2003 to November 2020 involved roles such as Program Director for Indigenous Inclusion and the Community Scientist Initiative, as well as Director of Business Operations. Earlier career experience includes serving as the Director of Rooms at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver from 1999 to 2003. Tammy Matheson holds a degree in Sales & Marketing from the UBC Sauder School of Business, obtained between 2006 and 2009.

BC College of Nurses and Midwives
BCCNM is the provincial regulator for all nurses and midwives in British Columbia. We regulate the four nursing designations--licensed practical nurses (LPN), nurse practitioners (NP), registered nurses (RN) and registered psychiatric nurses (RPN)--as well as registered midwives (RM). Our purpose is to ensure the public receives safe, competent, and ethical nursing and midwifery care. BCCNM was established Sep. 1, 2020, through the amalgamation of the BC College of Nursing Professionals and the College of Midwives of BC. This amalgamation is in line with the Ministry of Health's ongoing efforts to streamline and modernize health profession regulation in B.C. The new college is the first nurse and midwife regulator in Canada, and the largest regulator in Western Canada, overseeing 68,500 registrants.
