Pete Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Pete began their career at Qitech Ltd in 1997 as Director and Company Secretary, and worked there until 2002. From 2002 to 2003, they served as a Program Development Manager at Pertemps Group Ltd. In 2004, Pete joined ESOS Ltd as a Systems Development Manager until 2005. In the same year, they founded PJT Consulting Ltd, where they worked as the Owner until 2020. During this time, Pete provided information systems consultancy and training in software development best practices. Pete also acted as an examiner for BCS (ISEB) Business Systems Development diplomas. In 2005, Pete joined AssistKD as a Principal Consultant and later became the Learning Services Director in 2023. Pete has also worked at BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT as an External Examiner and Chief Examiner for the Solution Development Diploma Scheme from 2007 to the present.
Pete Thompson attended De Montfort University from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a BSc(Hons) degree in Computer Science. In 2006, they also obtained a Diploma in Business Analysis from BCS (Information Systems Examination Board).
