Jay Dave

Jay Dave has extensive experience in various leadership and consulting roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as President of the British Red Cross since September 2018, Jay focuses on enhancing the organization's capabilities to assist disaster victims in the UK and increasing representation within the BRC, while also chairing the Presidents Advisory Panel. With ITV Wales News since February 2020, Jay contributes as a consultant on the Diversity Panel, ensuring the representation of diverse societal segments. Previous roles include Council Member at St John Cymru and various positions within South Wales Police for three decades, culminating as Emergency Services Civil Contingencies Coordinator for Wales, where Jay improved emergency response strategies. Jay began the career journey as a self-employed partner at Daves' Newsagents and holds a BSc Hons in Biology from Queen Mary College, University of London.
