Ian Frens

Ian Frens is an accomplished cybersecurity professional currently serving as a member of CESIN since January 2025, contributing to the collective enhancement of cybersecurity maturity across various organizations. In the role of RSSI/CISO at Brittany Ferries since September 2021, Ian manages IT and OT cybersecurity strategies across multiple countries and oversees risk management and security action plans. Previously, Ian conducted cyber risk analysis for the French maritime and port sectors at the Secrétariat général de la mer and held various technical and security-focused positions at iMSA, Sopra Steria, NEURONES, and BULL Belux. Ian's extensive educational background includes specialized master's degrees in cybersecurity from IMT Atlantique and crisis management, alongside qualifications in ISO 27001 and 27005 frameworks.
