Elizabeth Wood

Visiting Scientist - Stanley Center at Broad Institute

Elizabeth Wood is an accomplished scientist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the fields of biology and physics. Currently serving as Founder and CEO of JURA Bio, Inc. since April 2017, Elizabeth also holds the position of Visiting Scientist at the Stanley Center of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard since July 2019. Previous roles include Post-doctoral Fellow at Harvard University's Cohen Lab from July 2015 to July 2016, and Visiting Researcher at the University of Copenhagen's Lindorff-Larsen Group from January 2013 to June 2015. Elizabeth completed a PhD at the Technical University of Denmark and has a strong educational background from Harvard University, where undergraduate research was conducted in the Herschbach Group. Notably, Elizabeth is recognized for founding Pure Home Water Ghana as part of the MIT Safe Household Water Program.
