Maria Skoularidou

Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Broad Institute

Maria Skoularidou, PhD, is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, starting in September 2023. Maria is also the Founder of {Dis}Ability in AI, a group dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities in the field of artificial intelligence since April 2019. Additionally, Maria established Women in Data Science and Statistics at the Royal Statistical Society in March 2019. Previous positions include Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from January 2022 to August 2022 and Scientific Assistant at the University of Cambridge from March 2018 to September 2018. Past research engagements include roles at Athens University of Economics and Business and the Technical University of Crete. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Biostatistics from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Science in Statistics from Athens University of Economics and Business, and a 4-year Diploma in Informatics from the same institution.
