Scott L. Pomeroy is a distinguished neurologist currently serving as the Bronson Crothers Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School since 1991. In addition to this role, Pomeroy is an Associate Member at the Broad Institute since 2011 and has been an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine since 2017. From 1991 to 2024, Pomeroy held the position of Chairman of the Department of Neurology and Neurologist-in-Chief at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and also directed the Neuro-oncology division. Prior to these roles, Pomeroy was an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis from 1989 to 1991. Pomeroy holds an MD and PhD in Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of Cincinnati and a BA in Chemistry and Zoology from Miami University.
