Timothy Tickle serves as the Head of Scientific Partnerships at the Data Sciences Platform of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, focusing on building partnerships to accelerate scientific advancements through software engineering. With a rich background that includes roles as Principal Product Manager and Senior Product Manager, Timothy has expertise in single-cell genomics and has managed the infrastructure for the Human Cell Atlas’ Data Coordination platform. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Software Engineer where development of the Single Cell Portal was a key project, and as a Research Affiliate studying microbial biomarkers in relation to health conditions. Timothy's academic credentials include a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, complemented by a BS in Computer Science and a BA in History.
