Elysa Gardner

Elysa Gardner is a seasoned theater and music critic with extensive experience in the arts sector. Currently serving as a critic for The New York Sun, Elysa has also hosted the podcast "Stage Door Sessions" for Broadway Direct and contributes to New York Stage Review and The New York Times. Additional freelance work since 2016 highlights expertise in theater and music reporting, supported by a background at USA Today, where Elysa reported on music and theater from 2000 to 2016. Earlier experience includes roles as an on-air contributor and field producer at VH1. Elysa Gardner holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Wesleyan University.
