Emma Johnstone

Emma Johnstone is an accomplished bioinformatician currently serving as a Senior Staff Bioinformatician at Broken String Biosciences since January 2024. Prior to this role, Emma held the position of Head of Bioinformatics at Bactobio from December 2020 to January 2024 and completed a PhD in Environmental Microbiology at the University of Warwick, where studies were conducted from October 2016 to November 2020. Additional experiences include UROP placements at Imperial College London and a research assistant position at the Natural History Museum. Educational credentials encompass a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Warwick, a Master of Science from The University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor of Science from Imperial College London.
