Sam Stubbs

Sam Stubbs is currently a Staff Scientist in Product Development focused on NGS Assays and Workflow at Broken String Biosciences since November 2023. Prior experience includes serving as Lead Scientist at XGenomes Corp from March 2021 to November 2023, where Sam specialized in unique single-molecule sequencing platform development and innovative library preparation techniques. Sam's expertise is further demonstrated through a role as Senior Scientist at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, leading the development of molecular tools for vector identification and viral surveillance. Earlier positions at the University of Cambridge involved postdoctoral research in viral genomics and diagnostics, as well as research assistance in viral discovery. Sam holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, an MS from the Royal Veterinary College, and a BS in Biology from the University of Southampton.
