Broma, short for theobroma, the scientific name of chocolate, is a company founded in 2019 by Taylor Smith in response to learning about her then 96-year old grandmother’s protein deficiency. Their secret ingredient, lentils, packs in 6g of complete protein, 4g of fiber, and vital nutrients such as folate and iron in each serving of almond butter. Broma has been recognized in USAToday, VegNews, FreshLiving, The Austin Chronicle, KUTV 2 NEWS, ABC4, CPG Startup Shelfie Award Finalist and received  Clean Eating Magazine's 2021 Better for Your Breakfast Award, and most recently as a finalist for a 2022 NEXTY Award for the Best New Functional Food or Beverage; Startup CPG Brand
