Katie Welty has extensive experience in the museum field, currently serving as the Director of Registration and Collections Management at Brooklyn Museum since February 2001. Previously, Katie held various roles at Brooklyn Museum, including Chief Registrar, Senior Registrar for Exhibitions and Loans, and Registrar for Exhibitions and International Loans. Prior to this, Katie worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago from September 1995 to August 2000 as an Assistant/Associate Registrar. Katie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking from Carnegie Mellon University, earned between 1991 and 1995.
