Jameela Syed

Jameela M. Syed is an experienced professional in communications and education, currently serving as the Director of Communications at Brooklyn Org since January 2019, where previous roles included Communications Manager and Development and Communications Associate. Prior experience includes a Program Associate position at the Global Language Project, where responsibilities encompassed managing digital content, overseeing donations, and enhancing curriculum materials. Jameela also worked as an Adjunct English Professor at Université de Bordeaux, focusing on English conversation and cultural programming, and was a Fulbright Scholar with the U.S. Department of State, teaching in France. Jameela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and French Language and Literature from Stony Brook University and continues education at Université Lumière Lyon 2.
