Brenda Bentt-Peters has over two decades of experience in community engagement and governmental relations, currently serving as Supervisor of Community Outreach and previously as Manager of Community Engagement at Brooklyn Public Library since April 2002. In these roles, Brenda has successfully secured funding from various government levels and built strong relationships with community leaders to enhance library services. Prior experience includes serving on the Government Affairs Committee for the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce from 2005 to 2012, and working as a consultant between 1996 and 2002, developing fundraising strategies for multiple non-profit organizations. Additionally, Brenda held the position of Special Projects Coordinator at YAI, where innovative fundraising initiatives were created. Brenda holds a BS/BFA in Broadcast Journalism and Creative Writing from Brooklyn College, earned between 1987 and 1991.
