Taina Evans

Taina Evans is a seasoned library professional currently serving as the Secretary for the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) and President of the New York Black Librarian Caucus. With extensive experience at Brooklyn Public Library as Regional Director and Coordinator of Older Adults Services, Taina provides comprehensive leadership and manages public services across multiple libraries. An adjunct assistant professor at St. John's University, Taina teaches courses in Collection Development and Management. Previous roles include adjunct professor at ASA College, Co-Chair of the Senior Committee on Community Board 3, and Board Secretary for the Brooklyn Queens Land Trust. Taina holds a Master of Library & Information Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from St. John's University.
