Scott Balak

Scott Balak is a seasoned professional in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as Senior Director of Strategic Marketing & Customer Insights at Brooks Automation since March 2017. In this role, Scott is responsible for the corporate strategy aimed at increasing market share in Semiconductor Advanced Packaging. Previously, Scott held various leadership positions at Brooks, including Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Line Manager for both Vacuum and Atmospheric Systems, achieving significant revenue growth and product innovation. Before joining Brooks, Scott worked at Onto Innovation as Director of Inspection Product Management, where total product management responsibilities were undertaken for the Inspection Business Unit. Scott's experience also includes roles at KLA and Texas Instruments, where a strong technical background in applications engineering and yield enhancement was established. Scott holds an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan School of Management and a degree from the Colorado School of Mines.
