Bruyère
Justin Shimizu is a dedicated research coordinator in palliative care at Bruyère since May 2022, complemented by roles as a research assistant at Carleton University Social PsychoPhysiology Lab and Life Tools Lab. In these positions, Justin engages in meta-analytic work related to physiological synchrony and explores topics impacting romantic relationships. With extensive experience as a paramedic at Cornwall SD&G Paramedic Services since June 2017, Justin also serves as a clinical preceptor for paramedic students. Justin completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Carleton University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at Dalhousie University. An honours thesis on physiological arousal and sexual desire was conducted under the supervision of a faculty member at Carleton University.
