Matthew Harris has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. Matthew started their career in 1991 as a Light Infantry Team Leader in the United States Army, where they received basic and advanced infantry training. From 1995 to 1999, they worked as a Computer and Network Technician at Microtech Services Incorporated, providing on-site services to clients, including maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of software and hardware components. In 1999, they joined BSA Software as a Software Developer, responsible for developing several software applications used by over 600 municipalities nationwide. Their work involved creating applications such as the Utility Billing System, Cemetery Management System, and Animal Licensing System.

Matthew Harris attended St Johns High School from 1988 to 1991, where they completed their high school education. After that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Central Michigan University from 1995 to 1999.
