Matthew Norton started their career at Nordstrom in 2010 as a Programmer Analyst Intermediate/SAS Platform Administrator. In this role, they designed, developed, and implemented systems to collect and analyze data related to customer credit risk performance. Matthew also created reports for monthly presentations to executive leadership and oversaw the installation and maintenance of SAS systems. In 2014, they joined Baylor Scott & White Health as a Senior Analytics Developer/Team Lead. Here, they developed and maintained a readmission dashboard for all BSWH system hospitals, utilizing SAS and SQL programs to analyze patient and hospital reporting. Matthew also gathered data from multiple sources, created metrics for performance improvement, and reviewed documents related to changes in readmission cohorts.

Matthew Norton received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems & Management from Colorado State University in the period from 2002 to 2008. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Data Science from Southern Methodist University, which they completed between 2018 and 2022. Additionally, Matthew has obtained various certifications in the field, including Caboodle-Clarity Development Certification, Clarity Data Model Certification, Revenue Data Model Certification, and Clarity Data Model - EpicCare Inpatient Certification, all from Epic.
