Vladislav Venev has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Vladislav is currently serving as the Chief Security Officer at bTV Media Group EAD, where they are responsible for developing and implementing IT security strategies and policies. Prior to this, they worked as an Information Security Officer at Konica Minolta Business Solutions UK Ltd, where they planned and evaluated information security strategies and managed the Information Security team. Vladislav also held the role of Manager Information Security at PPD, where they implemented technical security solutions and ensured compliance with data protection and privacy regulations. Venev has also gained experience in GRC Information security, serving as an expert at Playtech. In addition, they have held positions such as Data Protection Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria. Venev's earlier work experience includes roles as an Information Security Specialist at Raiffeisen Bank - Bulgaria, GIS Information Security Specialist Level II at HP Global Delivery Center Bulgaria, Communication Engineer at Kontrax, and Technical Manager at ComNet Bulgaria Holding Ltd. Vladislav Venev has a Bachelor's degree in Playwriting and Screenwriting from NATFA, which they obtained from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended New Bulgarian University from 2001 to 2003, where they studied History, although they did not obtain a degree during that time.
In terms of certifications, Vladislav Venev has acquired numerous qualifications, highlighting their expertise in various fields. These include the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², obtained in August 2021. Vladislav also holds certifications such as the Project Management Professional (PMP), obtained in September 2020, and the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Become a Certified Information Security Manager, both obtained in March 2020.
Furthermore, Vladislav Venev has pursued additional certifications through various institutions. Some notable certifications include the Microsoft Office 365 Security Administration (MS-500) from Cybrary, Proofpoint Certified Security Awareness Specialist from Proofpoint, and CompTIA Security+ also from Cybrary, all obtained in 2023. Vladislav has also acquired the Advanced Penetration Testing certification from Cybrary in November 2020 and the Certified Data Protection Officer certification from Expert Events in December 2018.
Additionally, Vladislav Venev has expanded their knowledge in specific areas by obtaining certifications such as GDPR Legal from the Law and Internet Foundation in June 2017, and Microsoft Server forensics basics from Microsoft in September 2015.
