Currently serving as Associate General Counsel at Buckner International since September 2022, Kayla provides strategic legal guidance to the organization's non-profit senior living subsidiary. Prior to this role, Kayla was Assistant General Counsel at Cantex Continuing Care Network, where responsibilities included advising executive leadership and managing clinical risk. With previous positions as Deputy Division General Counsel at Intrado and Attorney roles at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood, & Boyer, P.A., Nationwide, Liberty Mutual Insurance, and Peters Law Firm, Kayla has developed a robust expertise in legal matters pertaining to healthcare, commercial law, and medical malpractice. Kayla holds a Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law, a study abroad experience in International Law from Universidad de Guanajuato, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
