Ewan Findlay is a seasoned optical engineer with extensive experience in technology analysis and product-based research. Currently serving as Principal Optical Engineer at Buddi Ltd since August 2011, Ewan specializes in multidisciplinary fields including optics, acoustics, chemistry, and biology, with a focus on in-vivo optical monitoring. Previously, Ewan held the position of Principal Optical Engineer at STMicroelectronics from February 2002 to July 2011, where responsibilities included system analysis and optical design for mass market camera phones and CMOS sensor devices. Ewan began a career as Senior Laser Systems Engineer at BAE Systems from April 1995 to December 2001, concentrating on the analysis and design of airborne solid-state laser systems. Ewan holds a PhD in Physics from the University of St Andrews, earned in 1995.
