Kyle Murphy has a diverse and extensive work experience. Kyle is currently serving as the Director of Product Management at Buildertrend. Prior to this role, they held the position of Investor/LP at Proven Ventures, a Burlington Capital fund. In 2021, Kyle started their own consulting business, KRM Consulting, LLC.
Before their entrepreneurial venture, Kyle had a long tenure at Hudl. Over the years, they held various leadership roles, including VP - People & Corporate Communication, VP - Design, VP & Product Director - Coaching Tools, VP - User Experience, UX Manager, User Experience Engineer, and Software Developer - Design Specialist. During their time at Hudl, Kyle played a crucial role in designing and developing software tools for coaches, athletes, parents, and fans. Kyle also mentored designers and worked closely with the Chief Product Officer in shaping the company's product vision.
Prior to Hudl, Kyle worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they contributed to creating testable versions of Unix apps under the supervision of Dr. Gregg Rothermel.
Kyle Murphy attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2004 to 2009, where they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Computer Science and Business. In addition to their formal education, Kyle obtained several certifications. In 2018, they completed the course "Miracles of Human Language: An Introduction to Linguistics" through Coursera. In 2020, they obtained certifications in various areas, including People Analytics (from Josh Bersin Academy and LinkedIn), HR in the Age of AI (from Josh Bersin Academy), Become a Chief of Staff with Brian Rumao (from LinkedIn), Communicating Across Cultures (from LinkedIn), Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues (from LinkedIn), Skills for Inclusive Conversations (from LinkedIn), and The HR Tech Workshop (from Josh Bersin Academy).
