Matt Casale

Director, State Mobilization at Building Decarb Coalition

Matt Casale currently serves as the Associate Director of State Mobilization at the Building Decarbonization Coalition since June 2023. Previously, Matt held the position of Environment Campaigns Director at U.S. PIRG from February 2017 to May 2023, focusing on various environmental initiatives. Additional experience includes roles as a Judicial Law Clerk at the District of Columbia Superior Court and as a Student Attorney at the Neighborhood Law & Policy Clinic. Matt has also worked as a Legal Intern at Quality Trust for Individuals with Disabilities and as a Law Clerk at Pepper Hamilton LLP. Matt's earlier involvement in academia includes serving as Editor-in-Chief of Wooden Teeth Art and Literary Magazine and as Historian for the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at The George Washington University. Matt earned a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School and a BA in History from The George Washington University.
