Project Liaison at Detroit Land Bank Authority

Kimberly Swinehart is currently serving as a Challenge Detroit Fellow and Project Liaison at the Detroit Land Bank Authority, both positions held since August 2023. Previous roles include Graduate Student Instructor for Psychology courses at the University of Michigan and Detroit Census Project Supervisor at the Michigan Institute for Data Science, where Kimberly managed a team to assess housing habitability in Detroit. Additional experience encompasses work as Owen House Work Manager at the Inter-Cooperative Council, Psychology Department Peer Advisor, and intern at the Southwest Detroit Community Benefits Coalition, coupled with early employment at JOANN Stores. Kimberly holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Theory & Practice with a focus on Urban Studies from the same institution.
