Nicholas Stone

Mr Stone was appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer Bupa Asia Pacific in April 2023, before being permanently appointed in July 2023. He had previously served as Bupa APAC’s Chief Financial Officer and Bupa ANZ’s Group Financial Controller.

Prior to joining Bupa, Mr Stone was CFO at Marlin Brands and General Manager Commercial Finance at Medibank Private Limited. This role included managing Medibank’s privatisation process following the Australian Government selling 100% of its interest in Medibank onto the Australian Securities Exchange via an Initial Public Offering in 2014.

Mr Stone spent 10 years at Energy Australia in various roles, including CFO, COO – Retail and Financial Controller. He previously spent several years overseas working in senior roles in the UK and Kazakhstan, predominantly in the oil and gas sector.

Mr Stone holds a Bachelor of Business – Majoring in Accounting and Law. He is also an Associate of Chartered Accountants – Australia and New Zealand.
