Daniel P. is a highly experienced Physical Scientist and Senior Materials Program Manager at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing since November 2013. Previously, Daniel worked as a Physicist at NIST, focusing on research related to crystalline and magnetic structures in Verwey compounds, iron-based superconductors, and chromium alloys from May 2012 to November 2013. As a Postdoctoral Associate at Ames Laboratory from August 2011 to May 2012, Daniel contributed to the development of high-energy x-ray precession cameras and created Matlab software for data processing and visualization in crystallography. Daniel served as a Division Officer in the US Navy from 2001 to 2004, managing a radar division after being selected for the Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program. Daniel holds a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from Iowa State University, alongside an M.S. and B.S. in Physics from Western Illinois University.
