Jerin Varghese

Jerin Varghese is an experienced economist currently working at the Bureau of Labor Statistics since October 2016, where significant contributions include developing an in-house Python package for productivity measurement, leading a modernization initiative to transition data production systems to Python, and automating employment estimations from household surveys. Previously, Jerin served as a Data Board Detailee at the U.S. Department of Labor, assisting in the development of an open data service, and as a Research Associate at Econometrica, Inc., providing research and data analytics support on various projects. Jerin holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Maryland.
