Kevin Cooksey

Kevin Cooksey is an experienced professional with a strong background in economics and data analysis. Currently serving as a Project Team Lead at the Bureau of Labor Statistics since July 2010, Kevin has held various positions, including Branch Chief and Senior Economist, where responsibilities have included managing the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) Division and publishing Business Employment Dynamics (BED) statistics. Prior experience includes research assistant roles at Christopher Newport University, contributing to publications and developing methodologies for evaluating non-profit organizations. Kevin's foundational experience also includes an internship as a Budget Analyst at the Department of the Navy, focused on budget formulation and execution. Kevin holds a Master's Degree in Applied Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Economics from Christopher Newport University.
