Chantal Donnelly is a highly experienced professional in hydrology and water resource management, currently serving as the General Manager of Decision Support Services at the Bureau of Meteorology since May 2017. In this role, Chantal has led key initiatives such as the development of the AWRA-L landscape water balance model and AWRA-R water resource models to enhance Australian water management and agriculture. Prior to this, Chantal held various leadership positions, including Unit Head of Water Investigations at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, where responsibilities included coordinating climate change research and managing scientific projects. Chantal began academic pursuits as a PhD candidate at Lund University, focusing on coastal hydraulics, after obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Queensland.
