Craig Richards has extensive work experience in engineering and management roles. Craig began their career at the City of Parkersburg, West Virginia, where they served as the Assistant City Engineer, responsible for preparing construction contract documents and collaborating with the City's Development Department. Craig later became the City Engineer, overseeing the planning, design, and construction of street, storm drainage, and water distribution system improvements. In 1988, they joined Burgess & Niple as a Project Engineer, and eventually became the Director of Engineering Services at the Parkersburg Office. In this role, they managed a team of engineers and designers, developed and maintained client relationships, and assisted clients with project planning, funding, and construction. Overall, Craig Richards has a strong background in engineering, leadership, and client management.
Craig Richards attended Parkersburg High School from 1976 to 1979, where they completed their College Preparatory Studies and received a diploma. From 1979 to 1983, they enrolled at the West Virginia Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
