Danny McCarthy has worked in various roles within the technology sector. Danny started their career at Kindle Banking Systems in 2000, where they served as a Technical Consultant until 2002. Following this, they joined Citibank as a Systems Specialist from 2002 to 2003. Since 2003, they have been employed at Bus Éireann, starting as a Project Manager and working their way up to the position of Head of IT & Business Transformation. Additionally, they have also served as the Acting Chief Information Officer and currently holds the role of Chief Information Officer.
Danny McCarthy obtained a Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the Irish Management Institute in 2015-2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Graduate Diploma in Software Localisation at the University of Limerick from 1999-2000. Danny completed their undergraduate studies at the same university from 1994-1998, earning a degree in Business Studies with a focus on Accounting and Finance.
